Adobe Illustrator is Adobe’s tool for creating and editing vector graphics. Vector graphics are graphics made up of lines, curves, and shapes based on mathematical formulas. They contrast with raster graphics, which are made up of pixels. Because vector graphics are made up of shapes and lines, they can be infinitely enlarged without losing quality. Even if you don’t plan to create vector graphics, Illustrator can be useful in editing vector graphics available for download from services like Adobe Stock, as well as creating various forms of digital graphics for all kinds of media: print, web, interactive, video, and mobile. Adobe Illustrator is available as a desktop application as well as an iPad app, which with the Apple Pencil can be used to draw digital artwork.

• Create charts and infographics. Easily draw bar, line, and pie graphs from numerical data using Illustrator.
• Create shareable links to PDF files for review. Share for review lets you create shareable links to your PDF files for gathering feedback without having to convert them to .ai or .aic files.
• Create realistic mockups of art on objects. Mockup allows you to create imitations of art on objects such as product packaging, mugs, and T-shirts. When you apply vector art on a raster object, Illustrator honors the curves and edges of the object, and the vector art auto-adjusts onto the object non-destructively.
